Neurodevelopmental Treatment Approach

Parent Coaching & Education

I believe that we experience well-being when we enjoy functioning with a sense of meaning and purpose. This experience is often described as ease, flow, and joy in living.

This is a shift away from temporary happiness and a movement towards using our resources and strengths to engage with purpose and authenticity. This approach honors the whole child and their uniqueness.

As an occupational therapist with 28 years of experience and a mom to four kids, I have seen obstacles and challenges stand in the way of children flourishing through their development.

Parents are shouldering huge responsibilities and concerns for their child. Parents need support and education so that they can feel confident in advocating for their child with healthcare providers and schools. You are the expert in your child! I can help guide you towards ease, flow, and joy along the journey.

“Carrie has an uncanny ability to know what both the parent and child need, both in terms of information and care. Her intuitive nature means she is one step ahead of you regarding your questions and concerns, which brings tremendous peace of mind when the well-being of your child is at stake.”

Anna, Parent

Curiosity is one of my highest values. Getting curious about what makes your child unique can change the way you parent.

I want to partner with you and help you identify your child’s strengths and challenges so that your child can flourish!

Occupational Therapy Assessment

$500

The evaluation will consist of both standardized testing and skilled clinical observations. You may be asked to fill out parent report measures. This will allow me to get the fullest picture of your child’s strengths and challenges. After the evaluation, you will receive a written evaluation report and a one hour parent feedback session.

Together, we will detail your child’s strengths, and review evaluation findings/recommendations.

Individualized Therapy Sessions

$150/session

Each 50-55 min. occupational therapy session is focused on utilizing your child’s strengths and providing the just right challenge. I believe in a play-based, child-led approach. These sessions are fun and prioritize stretching your child’s abilities to meet the demands of their home, school, and social life.Your participation in these sessions is key to your child’s progress.

Parent Collaboration Meetings

$125/hr

An initial collaboration meeting is included in the price of the evaluation to review the evaluation results, personalize recommendations, and set family-centered goals.

Additional meetings are available and recommended during intervention to collaborate on issues that arise or provide education on specific topics of your choice.

Virtual & In-person options available!

*I work in a PRIVATE PAY model. Superbills are available for the evaluation and treatment sessions. These can be submitted to your insurance for (out-of-network) reimbursement.
